AMVOX2 Rapide Transponder

It includes a built-in transmitter micro-system for activating and deactivating the locking system of the Aston Martin Rapide car, whilst retaining the functions of the vertical-trigger chronograph. The transponder module, connector and signal antenna were miniaturised by means of a complete redesign from a watchmaking perspective, requiring 18 months of research at Jaeger-LeCoultre, working in close collaboration with Aston Martin. Only Aston Martin dealerships are authorised to set up communication between the Rapide car and the AMVOX2 Rapide Transponder watch.

The antenna is metallised on the inside of the sapphire crystal, and is connected to the locking control contact rectangles. The automotive functionalities are facilitated by touch-sensitive technology. Each part of the transponder has been miniaturised.
